It has been some time since we have hosted a multi-course Vintner's Dinner.
We are very excited to announce that on Tuesday, June 21st, Cottage Place host a Vintner's Dinner featuring wines from Justin Winery, recently named Wine Enthusiast's "2015 American Winery of the Year".
In 1981 Justin Baldwin purchases 160 acres in Paso Robles, with the aim of crafting Bordeaux style wines that belong in the company of the finest in the world. Rich in limestone, the soil of Paso Robles produces grapes with intense flavor and great structure.
Joseph Spellman, Master Somelier for Justin Winery, will attend the dinner to discuss the Justin wines. What a rare treat. . . He has been a leading wine educator, writer, and consultant, and has led wine seminars in the US, UK, Japan, and Australia. In 1996 he was the 29th American to earn the Master Sommelier Diploma. Margaret McGuire, Justin's Southwest Sales Manager will also be present to share infomation with guests.
In addition to the Justin wines we will also be featuring the Landmark Chardonnay. Justin and Landmark wines will be available for retail purchase at special event pricing.
Dinner will start at 6pm. Frank and his staff are working on the menu and wine pairings, ut for those of you who know JUST HOW SPECIAL this dinner will be call now to reserve your place.
We will be seating tables of six and four and if you only have two in your party you will no doubt leave the dinner with new friends.
Cost will be $90.00 per person plus tax and gratuity.
SMOKING AND GRILLING SEAFOOD
You know it's summer when Frank offers his Grilling Classes. Smoking and Grilling Seafood will be held on Saturday, June 11th starting at 11am OR Sunday, June 12th starting at noon.
We are currently sold out but are still taking parties on the wait list.
Items in this class will include Smoked Salmon, Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Aioli, Scallops, Shrimp, and other fish with a variety of sauces, rubs and marinades. There will also be a seafood salad and a dessert offered.
Frank will be demonstrating cedar plank cooking. VERY popular class.
Remember, classes include instruction, written booklet of menus, tastes of ALL the food and several tastes of wine. Price is $60 per person.
